Founded in 2018 by Kevin and Evann Young, based in Putnam County, Tennessee, specializing in residential new home construction, high-end remodels, and custom additions.

With over 16 years of experience in the construction industry, Kevin’s journey began at the age of 15 when he worked alongside his grandfather on home remodels. What started as a passion for craftsmanship quickly turned into a full-time pursuit that led to the formation of Young Contracting.

After years of hands-on experience and honing his skills, Kevin took his business to the next level by obtaining his contractor’s license and expanding the scope of projects. In 2015, he met Evann, who shared his vision and drive. With Evann’s passion for customer satisfaction and goal-setting, the couple has transformed Young Contracting into a trusted name in the community, known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and personal service.

Are you insured?

We have a general liability policy. A builder-risk policy is purchased for every new build. Sub-contractors sign an agreement to keep their own general liability and workers comp.

Do you warranty your work?

All projects and new construction have a 1 year warranty on workmanship and materials. Many products and materials we use have a manufacturer’s warranty that outlasts the builder’s warranty and cover product defects, but not necessarily installation.

How long does it take to start a project?

Start times and completion times widely vary depending on the job. There are too many variables to give an average time to start, or an average time of completion. For new construction We can usually start excavation within 3 months of signing the contract. An average home (2,300 sq ft) will take 8-12 months to complete. A larger or more complicated home, like a cabin built on the side of a mountain could take 18+ months to complete.
